Fatehsagar lake is serene, clean, massive and super well managed. You can spend hours simply sitting on the banks and admiring the view. There is ample parking. There are several small food outlets, we tried plain dosa and masala tea on one of these and they were quite decent.
Despite the heavy uptick in footfalls over the years, Fatehsagar lake continues to be managed very well. Kudos to the maintenance body and personnel. This is specially in contrast with ghats on lake pichhola which are by and large poorly maintained. Best place in Udaipur for long morning and evening walks.
It’s a beautiful view of a beautiful and the largest lake of Udaipur. There is a no-vehicle walking area along the shores of the lake if you want to stroll and enjoy the cool breeze. Very well maintained, neat and clean!

This place is fabulous. Fateh Sagar lake is a long stretch, where you can admire the marine beauty.
Things to do here:
1. Boating: If you have already done a boating in Lake pichola, than you can do a speed boat here. I suggest, you do a regular boating in Lake Pichola, and a speed boating in Fateh sagar. This way you will get experience of speed boat & a regular boat.
2. Camel ride: This a a experience of its kind. We did Camel ride, adjacent to the lake, and it was a memory to cherish forever
3. Just stroll & admire the marine beauty: You can easily spend hours in the lake shore, and enjoy the cool breeze
4. Street food: There are a lot of stalls available with lip smacking fast food. No preference for any particular stalls. All are the same.
5 Nehru Island: There is a Nehru park in the middle of the lake. You can take a regular boat, and get down at Nehru park & return back. It is a normal park. You will not regret if you want to give it a miss.
6. Fish Aquarium: There is a beautiful fish aquarium near this lake. You will see a variety of flaura & fauna. It is a must see. See my review on Fish aquarium for details.
7. Garden: There is a small public garden for kids. Not fancy... a regular one... Swing, Slide, Sea-Saw. You can take your kiddo there
8. Overall: This is a must visit place with family. Visit in the evenings, to avoid sun.
